After trainings, how often do we slip back into old modes of thinking and behaving? How often are we too busy to reflect on the learnings, seek out opportunities to apply new knowledge, practice new behaviors? Our focused-topic MBTI workshops will help pre-empt the „forgetting curve‟ and get real development results from MBTI assessments. Any learning process must overcome the challenges of forgetting.

It is not unusual that some of those who have completed an MBTI assessment or workshop can only remember their four-letter MBTI-type. However, profound and desired learning from having internalized the rich learning process …of which identification of one’s type was only one of the many outcomes.

We offer a whole range of practical MBTI workshops to help people relate their knowledge to real work & life situations. Here we also learn behaviors to manage different situations and challenges appropriate to our own type and the type of others.

All our workshops can be customized to your particular situation, with:

  • relevant and practical course content,
  • lots of interaction and group activities,
  • case studies and examples provided from the delegates, and
  • an official workshop booklet to take home for future reference
  • consideration for individual learning preferences.

The duration is usually 1-2 days, depending on what ground we need and agree to cover and the size of the group. The workshops can be held in groups of any size depending on needs and circumstances, and can even be conducted one-on-one if and when required.

If you have not already taken the MBTI assessment previously, we usually conduct a group assessment as part of the workshop.

MBTI for Team Effectiveness

Infinitive MindLife - MBTI Workshops - Team Effectiveness

Poor team morale? Ineffective communication among team members? Group conflict? Unable to steer individual strengths towards team synergy?

One of the most effective applications for the MBTI is to facilitate working and communication with others, especially in the context of teams. The team-based pursuit of organizational and business goals is inherently full of possibilities but also packed with pitfalls and challenges. These challenges can be better understood by looking at differences in individual personalities and how they affect how we relate, communicate and work together.

My MBTI for Team Effectiveness workshop helps delegates deal with the complexities of teamwork, and improve productivity, performance and satisfaction…unleashing the real potential of organizational diversity.

With concrete examples that relate to the participants’ own experience, we find out how to ‘get things done‘ in a team while tapping into a diverse team’s ability to mitigate blind spots and weaknesses.

MBTI for Leadership Effectiveness

Infinitive MindLife - MBTI Workshops - Leadership Effectiveness

Effective leadership is critical for business or organizational success. Leaders must provide direction, inspire and motivate their employees and teams, understand how the past, the present and the future combine to create opportunities to be seized.

And yet, leadership styles vary hugely from organization to organization and person to person – there is no one-size fits all magic potion to create great leaders. Of course, this comes as no surprise: all individual leadership characteristics are affected by the leader’s unique personality and the resulting styles and behaviors, strengths and weaknesses.

Our workshop MBTI for Leadership Effectiveness helps managers and leaders at all levels of the organization understand how their psychological type relates to their leadership role, how to recognize strengths and mitigate personality-based weaknesses, and use MBTI awareness to improve leadership role specific behaviors.

Better understanding of psychological type allows you to expand your comfort zone and hone your unique leadership style towards being a better leader while staying true to yourself.

MBTI for Managing Effective Change

Infinitive MindLife - MBTI Workshops - Managing Effective Change

Success in personal life, in career, and in business, is inextricably connected to one’s ability to manage change. In its many forms, change is of course a constant force, but one can argue that change in the 21st century workplace is more dominant and forceful than ever before.

Organizations view the ability to anticipate and prepare for change, long before it happens, as critical not only for competitiveness but even for survival. And yet, for many of us, change can be uncomfortable, disruptive and a source of conflict, fear and potential failure.

Not everyone experiences change in the same way: MBTI teaches us that, resulting from our different and unique preferences, we have different individual ways to view and deal with change.

By identifying and understanding personality-based change perspectives, we can become aware of, and learn to understand, appreciate, and accommodate, the needs and perspectives of ourselves and others when planning and initiating change.

The result is a more deliberate, accommodating and stress-free approach to managing change, based on people’s real psychological needs and preferences.

MBTI for Managing Constructive Conflict

Conflict is a natural part of our personal and working lives. But for many of us, conflict has a negative connotation and is interpreted as a sign of a relationship or interaction not working out. Reflexively, most of us tend to identify a concrete, tangible reason for the conflict, or identify it in terms of right and wrong answers or behaviors.

But when we dig deeper, the true sources of conflict can be found in some core element of trust, belief, authority, or passion being challenged, neglected or otherwise treated poorly.

In our workshop MBTI for Managing Constructive Conflict we look at how our own and others’ individual psychological type influences different approaches and responses to conflict…something we call a ‘conflict style’. We then suggest some more effective ways to dealing with and navigating conflict constructively and sensitively, while staying true to the unique needs and preferences of ourselves and others.

The result: a new, positive and sensitive approach to directing challenging situations and conflict towards positive resolutions, while fostering better relationships at the same time.

MBTI & Effective Communication

Infinitive MindLife - MBTI Workshops - Effective Communication

Effective communication is a core competency in every organization, and especially so in today’s team-oriented and collaborative work environments. Yet most of us are only mildly, if at all, aware of the extent to which our innate psychological preferences influence our communication style.

Once we understand why and how exactly our psychological type affects our own communication style and those others, we can develop strategies to tackle the typical challenges of ineffective communication, misunderstandings, and communication-based conflict or deadlock. In my MBTI & Effective Communication workshop we discover practice how to adjust and develop our communication styles for different situations including persuasion and influencing, and with different personality types.

There are lots of practical tips both for listening and receiving another person’s messages, as well as for ensuring that someone else receives, understands and processes our communication correctly and effectively.

Delegates who have participated in the MBTI & Effective Communication workshop report and apply the workshops learnings report

  • improved performance & better results
  • more effective use of time & resources
  • maximised opportunities
  • clearer decisions
  • improved morale
